Harris Technology Pty Ltd. is an Australian IT retailer owned and operated by Anyware Corporation. ==History== Harris Technology was started by Ron Harris on 6 October 1986. After a trip to the USA, it became apparent that the IT Retail market in Australia would be receptive to a computer superstore. Harris Technology opened its first Superstore in North Sydney, under the Bayer Building (formerly Mann Building then Konika Building). On 1 April 1999, Coles Myer acquired Harris Technology. During this period Harris Technology expanded with business centres in four Australian states and one territory and a website including detailed information on more than 15,000 products becoming one of Australia’s major resellers of technology to small and medium businesses. The following years saw Harris Technology alter their focus to online sales, eventually shutting their last remaining store in October, 2014.
